Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Opportunities

We are looking for highly motivated and talented graduate students and postdoctoral associates with interests in molecular simulation, machine learning, and statistical thermodynamics for research opportunities in:

  • Data-driven inverse design of metal organic framework (MOF) catalysts
  • Classical and first-principles molecular dynamics simulations of defect of defect mobility in crystals
  • Computational modeling and design of peptidic vesicles as alternative chassis materials for synthetic cells

Prior experience in computer programming, machine learning, and molecular simulation is desirable but not necessary. A strong background in mathematics and physical sciences is required.

Interested trainees should contact Prof. Ferguson directly at andrewferguson@uchicago.edu for more information enclosing a current (unofficial) transcript and CV.
