Greg Hart passes his final defense with flying colors to become the second PhD graduate from the Ferguson Lab. Greg’s PhD research concerned the development of data-driven models of viral fitness and their use in the understanding and design of antiviral vaccines against HIV and hepatitis C virus. Greg’s defense is the pinnacle of a very successful integration of tools from statistical thermodynamics, immunology, virology, and high performance computing. Greg leaves (tomorrow!) to start a position as a Postdoctoral Associate with Professor Jun Deng in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine. Congratulations, Dr. Hart!
